Description
Durchman Lake is located just a mile south of Mt Curwood, Michigan’s second highest point! Own a whole private lake, surrounded by high rolling terrain and rock outcroppings. There are also many building sites to choose from, however, the 160 acres is currently in Michigan’s CFA program. The fishing here is good where you will catch bass and pike! There’s a hard bottom access road that leads to this 28 acre – 60′ deep lake. Loons nest here on the private and serene shore. Sand hill cranes, partridge and moose are just a few of the animals that were seen here while visiting the property. Large pine, cedar, hemlock and spruce surround the lake. High ground consists of birch and hard maple. The property is bordered by 1000’s of acres of CFA land. There is a small stream that exits the west side of the lake that is a tributary of the East Branch of the Silver River. Remote but accessible! All maps which reference any property lines are approximated. This property does not have legal, insurable access. From the county road it crosses numerous timber company ownerships. Seller will consider a land contract.
